Want to build a new permanent coop and run

Hi all

I'm wondering about the practicality of this. I have 3' wide area beside my garage that I would like to turn into a run. Right now it is just weeds. (blackberries and others) I want to build the coop up on stilts between 2 buildings and have the run in that area between the garage and the neighbours fence and under the coop. I know it is enough area, as I only have 3 chickens, but wonder if I need to deal with the weeds in some way or if the chickens will handle that for me.

the weeds will take care of themselves. I'd be surprised if they survive the construction process, but your chickens will take care of them in days, not weeks.
