want to get chickens in catskill new york.

hello all any suggestions on good breeds for the area? I would like a small flock 2 or 3 is this a good number? I would like some kind to walk around the grass and eat bugs and stuff. eggs are secondary to pest control.

Pretty much any breed will eat bugs and probably the grass

Hi from CT. There are lots of chicken folk in your area. I'd suggest
a minimum of 6 hens. 6 is an easy number to take care of and will
eat plenty of bugs.
