Want to play "guess what mix this is"?

With 5 toes, that limits the possibilities for one parent. I am going Dorking on that side.
As for the blue coloring? You got me. I would guess Orpinton over the Wyandotte for that, but then the comb is wrong. But if it were an Orpington with a pea comb instead of single like it is supposed to have....
That is a stumper.

I'm going to have to try and find out what breeds the person that sold her had. Dorkings are pretty rare and so are Blue Wyandottes for that matter. At least they are in this neck of the woods.

Dorkings can be purchased from any common hatchery or feedstore. . . It's the Wyandotte part I'd wonder of.

And again, like Illia said, there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of people that have them, but the Silver Grey Dorkings are readily avaiable at most any hatchery.

Wait this bird is a bantam isnt it ? Looking at the second pic shes a little shorter than the Modern Game bantam and smaller than the Barred Rock in the picture, so it looks like shes a bantam or a LF X Bantams cross, which stumps me even more as to what the breeds are that are in her.

Oh, I forgot that important detail! She is probably a bantam x LF mix since she is smaller than the Barred Rock hen, but larger than most bantams. She's more of a Silkie size, although much heavier than a Silkie. Here is the only other picture I have. She's crouching down, but you can see her size a bit better:

The chickens known to have 5 toes are : Dorkings, Faverolles and Houdans. I would research those and see what you have.

Well I found out from the lady I bought her from that the man who sold the hen to her had "Cochins, Silkies, EEs and big chickens". lol So, that was no help. I guess the mystery will continue. I'm enjoying having her in the yard, no matter what her genetics are. I wish I had room for experiment birds. I would hatch some of her eggs and see what MGB x mystery bird looks like. ha

i just haven't seen dorkings with the lacing i am seeing here in the breast. that tight rose comb and lacing are very wyandotte-ish. and the blue too.

I kinda wanted to say maybe Silke X LF Wyandotte to explain the 5th toe ( Silkies have 5 toes also) But there are no other Silkie traits and most Silkie crosses usually have at least some of the following: Feathered leggs( is uaually a definite), dark skin, beards, and/or head tufts. I have had some silkie crosses that had feathered legs and dark skin but no head tufts or beard. And I have had some that had feathered legs, beard, and silkie comb, but no dark skin or head tuft. But ALL have had feathered leggs which is a dominant trait and yours doesnt appear to have any degree of legg feathering so I would rule Silkie out too for the fifth toe.
