Want to sell eggs informally to neighbor...suggested price?

I have chickens and quail, and will be having more eggs than I need. One of my neighbors has expressed interest in buying some of my eggs, and I am wondering what would be a reasonable price. I was thinking $5 per 18 quail eggs and $5 per dozen hen eggs. I know this is higher than supermarket but these are very fresh eggs, which I feel it's right to pay a premium for, and also I live in the SF Bay area where costs of living are higher than in some areas of the country.

What do you think? If you sell to neighbors what prices do you set?

These prices seem fine to me. I give my eggs away, and i get 2 dollars for 1 doz of chicken eggs

I think in a large market you could get that - I wouldn't be able to in my rural area. Good luck to you - hope you sell a bunch!
