Great Exuma, Bahamas
A little unorthadox maybe but I am willing to offer a weeks accomodation in our cottage on the island of Exuma in the Bahamas for the following:

18 fertile Black Copper Marans eggs and half a dozen either Rhodebar or BLRW eggs mix could be 16/8 as well.
I brought down 11 FBCM eggs last autumn and there were fertility issues and I ended up only hatching out 5. And of course ALL five of them were roosters. Gah.
Anyway, I don't know when I will be heading off the island again, and I keep seeing the news stories of the seemingly endless Deep Freeze up there and well....I got to thinking....
Bring me some eggs and you can stay here for free! :)

This is a website I just whipped up for this so its not the greatest but you can see some photos.

If a week isn't long enough and you want to stay on I will offer 50% off our regular rate. We just finished the cottage so haven't even started advertising to book out yet so the calendar is wide open.

The airport code is GGT.

I will want to see photos of the typical BCM egg as I'm looking for DARK. If you have a particularly dark Welsummer that may work as well.

Post your interest and then send me a PM.

PS. I'm sitting here right now with a tall, ice cold, refreshing, mouthwatering, thirst quenching drink.
Who want to join me?

Oh, cruel indeed. Knew I should have gotten Black Copper Marans.

I'm just curious, obviously I won't be bringing my 8 children to your cottage (though they would love it), how do you get eggs on a plane? Do you need special paperwork or do the eggs go in your checked baggage? They wouldn't even let us take seeds on a plane. Will they allow eggs?

Are you talking security or customs?
As to what you take in the plane you are only restricted by what is allowed through security. You can take whatever you want other than restricted items like water and toothpaste that threaten national security, :p Security doesn't ask you if you have seeds. They don't care, they don't know where you are going and it could be a domestic flight.

I travel back and forth from Canada and the UK to here on a regular basis and every time we stock up on food as it's pretty pricey down here.
Myself I've brought hatching eggs three times and others have brought them for me, never been an issue, and no, you wouldn't check them in baggage, they'd never survive, I always bring them in my personal carry on and they sit at my feet.

Eight kids! How do you manage? :-D

Will there be any money involved for this aside from airfare?
Good question. I am offering a week long accomodation but any food items you will either need to shop for or bring with you. I always send a list of items that are pricey down here such as cereal, snacks etc that people may want to bring along with preparing for arrival.
Car rental also is pretty necessary on the island but we can help with that.
No charges for internet, or electricity, all that is included.
Can you think of anything else you may be wondering about?
