Wanted: Breed Suggestion Advice

Hello BYC World,

My husband and I have a nice flock of chickens

started. We rescued some battery hens to begin this adventure about 3 years ago and just fell in love with keeping hens. Then, came the roosters, one by one. We began hatching our own chicks this summer with some ups and downs. We currently keep cochins, americaunas, australorpes, barred rocks, silver lacey wyandottes, black sex links, rhode island reds, and buff orpingtons. We want to add marans to the mix because I love the look of the dark chocolate eggs to compliment the whites, buff, blue, and light brown eggs we are currently getting each day.

Any suggestions on a kind of maran for us to be looking for?
