Thanks!!If you are only interested in pets/eggs you could consider getting hens only. That way, you could keep a minimum of 2 or as many as you have room for without worry about crowing, overbreeding etc. myshire farms ships live quail approximately 3-5 weeks old and I believe there’s 1 place that does ship chicks. You would also have a better chance of finding coturnix locally. They need approximately 1 sq ft per bird. You could easily keep 2-3 in a small animal/rabbit cage or converted tote indoors with probably easier clean-up than rabbits, guinea pigs etc.
