Wanted: Caponzing Lessons: Willamette Valley, OR.

We ordered straight run BO's this spring, and we'd like to caponize the cockerels. Compensation is negotiable, but we'd love to trade a couple of fully grown birds (capons or laying hens) for your knowledge.

I've looked through the threads, and they're really helpful. For something where we could kill the bird though, I'd feel much more confident with a hands-on lesson. Many of the posts here on caponizing say not to try it until you really know what you're doing.

Would be interested in learning this also, and agree that it'd be best to be shown by expert as opposed to reading instructions from a book! My son just asked me tonight if roosters could be neutered, he really likes the little banty roos and figured a neutered one wouldn't be a threat to the standard hens.
