The Exercise Thread🤸🏻‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️🚴🏽🏋🏻

I'm on a journey to move my body more and heal my(very diet culture damaged) relationship with food. Been taking a few days off because I've been busy. When I work I get 15k+ steps a day anyways.
Not so much trying to lose weight, more to get healthy, build endurance, and feel better physically and mentally. I chew gum almost everyday, started making some healthier replacements where I can while still enjoying myself. Differentiating between hungry and bored and only eating when my body is actually hungry has been a big thing for me. Finding healthy foods I still enjoy too. I still eat other stuff, I don't force myself to skip meals or wait to eat...if I'm hungry im going to eat, else I'll just over eat later. But moderation and adding in healthy food is the best for me. Get fuller on healthy things, eat a bit of what I want too but since I'm already full it won't be over consumption. I've been really liking hearts of palm pasta, plus I don't feel as bloated after like with regular pasta

I did a round of arthritis Pilates and leg Pilates yesterday. I must've strained my toes or something because they're tender😭
I feel good though. Today I'll do more arthritis and core Pilates and tomorrow I'm shopping for some better food to have ready for my meals. I usually try to do three cups of vegetables, one cup of fruit, and one filling serving of lean meat, two times per day, 16/8 fasting window, and no snacking. This seems hard and restrictive but this just ensures that I'm getting everything I need, I'm not starving myself, and I'm not just eating out of boredom, I always dread eating like this but then when I do it I feel totally invincible and actually really happy. I also drink 80oz of water, one cup of coffee, and one electrolyte for the day and that helps so much with arthritis pain.

Strait As in gym, played all sports, NO SOCCER. Back when I was framing houses, many yrs ago the crew and I would get together for a session of 12 oz curls, have since given up both. Walks, leisurely kayaking, golf no cart, bowling and yard work, enough for me. :old

We rarely eat pasta. Many times we use zucchini with a spiral slicer. Looks like fettuccine, absorbs the sauce/juice, cooks in 4-5 minutes in the skillet and tastes good.

That way we skip the simple carbs that turn to sugar and aren't good for arthritis (inflammatory). Last night I ate a small baked potato with a little butter and yogurt. Very small white potato as I'm trying to limit the inflammatory foods. I prefer sweet potatoes.

I need to make dinner earlier so we do not eat as late as that's not good to eat a full meal close to going to bed.

True about eating when hungry not for other reasons. Good job adjusting for health.
