We also will have chicks hatching soon. We have several different breeds of chickens, ducks, guineas, turkeys, and geese.

I think we will go that direction -incubator - someday, but my DH has barely agreed to chickens at all. The kids and I are sold, and he will go along, but I have to spread my expenses out....
He agreed to build the coop, but that is about it for now.

We have Buckeyes, Blue/Black/Splash Orpington, Andulusians, Buff Orpingtons, Barnevelders & Delawares. I have some of the B/B/S and Barnevelders in the incubator now. Buckeyes, Delawares, and Andulusians have not been separated yet for breeding. I am doing some special breeding with the Buffs now so I won't have any of those available.

The eggs in the incubator is the first hatch of the year so no telling if I will get chicks in the end. The old saying don't count your chickens until they hatch is a good rule of thumb.
