Ive been hunting on the net for some decent designs and so far all Ive found are made from a cardboard box or they look like something Rube Goldberg would design.
Incubator plans abound, how about dehydraror plans?

I have a great book named Back to Basics (How to Learn and Enjoy Traditional American Skills) put out by Reader's Digest in 1981. I love this book. If we are ever thrown back into the Stone Age I have an ace up my sleeve.

I checked and there are a couple of food dehydrators. One is using screens and the sun beating down on a roof-top. I'm guessing y'all have to much humidity for that.

There is another one that uses a stack of NON-metal vented trays separated by cinder blocks and the whole thing covered by a cardboard box with a venthole. A can of burning sulphur is under the lowest tray.

There is also a plan for an indoor dehydrator with a heat source (looks like a two burner electric coil).

If you want I'll copy it and email it to you.
