Wanted: Female Pekin (Central KY)

We're looking for a female Pekin duck under a year old to be a partner to our lone male, since our female died today. Our male is two months old. If you have one for sale please PM me! We want one as soon as possible, we could even come pick it up or meet you somewhere today.

I'm sorry I don't have a female for you...

However, if you go to your local feed store you may find a female.

Many feed store have chicks and ducks for the 4H's and locals.

Thanks. We're all so sad! I found someone 40 minutes away who sells males just a bit older than my lone Pekin, so I'm just going to go buy one from him. I'm up in the air as to whether my lone Pekin is a male or female now. I was thinking it was a male, but then earlier I picked it up and it started honking and quacking really loudly...so maybe I will still end up with a pair. Regardless, we mostly just keep them for fun pets whether they lay eggs or not...

I got a huge 10 month old Pekin from a guy I found on Craigslist. The lone Pekin and the new Pekin already love each other, they quacked and said hello then my Pekin walked up to the new one and rubbed all over his neck.

When the new Pekin ran into my white Polish pullet, the Pekin jumped back and hissed. He wasn't sure what kind of creature she was.

It's even funnier because the Pekin is gigantic and the Polish is just 12 weeks old or so.
