I'm looking to buy one young (3mo - 1yr old) guinea, who's been raised with chickens, preferably a male.
I'd like it to be one of the less common colors: blue/royal purple/violet/buff/brown etc. Crosses are fine- not going to be a show bird.
I had a pearl who was a great watchdog and acted just like chickens she'd been raised with since they were 1 day old. Unfortunately she decided to roost outside one night and we couldn't find her. She wasn't hidden well enough because we found her dead the next day.
I'm near Pittsburgh and will drive about an hour to pick up.
