itll depend on her instincts. how high were the other 2 roosting? if they were somewhere safe (high off the ground), I think she'll be okay til morning.

obviously I'm sure youd sleep better if you found her, but if you have trees available, shes probably okay. plus, everything low (and bad to sleep) is easier to check so if you cant find her, she's more likely to be okay imo.

Does she have a name? Start tomorrow training your birds to come when called. Go out before dark and round them up. Chickens can't see in the dark so she would have a very hard timing finding home.

My son just closed the coop to early, we don't have problems with her going in in the evenings.

Where are you located? Can you go out with a flashlight and search for her?

We searched couldn't spot her. We found the other two just not her.

Don't know what time it is were you are, but do you feed treats? Can you call her with a bag of mealworms or scratch? I used my duck dog to flush a mallard duck I thought got taken. She disappeared around the perimeter of our yard. Took my Lab out with me and followed the perimeter told him to find her. Sure enough he flushed her out of a nest she had been building to hatch eggs. Maybe that will work for you? Hope she turns up!

Our cat found one who did go in last summer. He didn't give us any clues this time.

They are my sons he takes care of them. He gets in a hurry sometimes and doesn't pay attention. Just a fluke thing.

Yea he get pretty upset when something happens to them. He comes to get mom for the rescue. Lol

Go out at night, look for places they might want to roost UP off the ground. If you are quiet and quick you can go up and snatch them up by hand, or use a net if you got one. Look behind bushes and up in low trees too, they like to hide places somewhat protected.

WIth this in mind, you may want to train your birds to come when called. Snacks work wonders. Make a noise, a clicking or whatever noise you want, you can even call out here chickie poos or just something. Call it out with them seeing you, throw a little feed on the ground, snacks preferrably. Do this for a week or so making sure you make the same sound every time you are going to give treats. Soon enough they will be conditioned so when they hear you make that sound they WILL come running!! I actually have mine where they will come eat scratch grains out of my hand.

Next time you need them in for the night, or one gets away or whatever, get a bit of grain, call and here they are. In that case what you do is, keep your coop open, call them and throw the food INTO their coop, they'll go in right after to get the snacks, then you close the door on them. I actually have mine tamed enough where all but one, who is just skittish, I can really just reach out and grab them up, and plop them where they need be.

Get in the habit of counting your chickens when you put them to bed. Hope you don't have hundreds. LOL.
