Wanted: Silkie Feathers!

Hi!

I'm hoping someone can help me with this - I'd like to get my hands on some silkie feathers, from Silkie birds. The lighter in color the better.

I'd like to look at them under a microscope, to observe their non-functioning barbicels.

If anyone is willing to send me a few in a stamped envelope (42cents) I'll do whatever you'd like in return.

I have a 'poor' silkie (PQ) that has a mix of feathers, (some hard) next time he loses some (maybe to the RIR hens) I'll pick them up for you.

I would love to send you some, but all my Silkies (and the feathers in their pen) are soaking wet right now b/c it's been raining for 3 days. If you still need them when they dry off I'll be happy to collect some for you.
