Found an interesting article on deworming chickens and wanted to see if these recommended treatments are good all around and or for a larger flock? I was generally curious since I've read on here about different dosages and etc.

Fenbendazole (SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer or horse paste) is very good. Dosage is 1/4 ml per pound of weight given orally once and again in 10 days. But to get other worms, such as capillary or gapeworms, treat for 5 straight days. Buy it at TSC and other feedstores.

Valbazen will treat most worms in a dosage of 1/2 ml orally and repeated in 10 days. You can buy it online here:

Ivermectin has lost effectiveness against chicken worms, so I would get one of the other two. I use Valbazen.
