wanted to buy... or just advise: meal worms

I just read the buying rules, so if I am posting this in the wrong spot, I apologize.
I tried to order meal worms from someone advertising on this web site, but I have had no luck reaching them.
Where do I buy live meal worms (dead ones seem easy to find)?
Is there anyone on this site willing to give me a handful for free?

There are lots of online sites. New York Worms is a good one. I've had good luck ordering roaches from them. They have all kinds of live worms.

We recently began raising mealworms. We bought 5000 mini mealworms from Petco for under $30 with free shipping about 5 weeks ago. The first order was sent overnight and we were not aware it had been delivered. The box was outside too long and majority of the worms had died from the heat. I called the company which breeds mealworms for Petco (# listed on packing slip) and they overnighted me a new order the next day (A+ for excellent customer service). So far the worms are developing great! In fact, I already have some that turned into beatles so should have some eggs soon.

I feed the worms the same chick starter I am feeding our baby chicks. The worms are now an inch or larger and our chickens just love them!

I know that PETCO has them in different size containers...a bit pricey tho. Good luck.
