looking for about 8 pullets to buy and have shipped.

we live in Vermont and are trying to start our backyard flock.

I am thinking they should be unvaccinated but not sure.

can organic eggs BE vaccinated?

thanks!

Hi, I don't have any pullets to ship, as I want all I have. But thought I'd offer this advice, We do not vacinate our birds or medicate them unless extreeme circumstances. The only vaccinated ones, are the ones purchased at feed store last year. I don't really know if an egg is still organic if vaccinated, that would be interesting to know. We choose not to vaccinate or medicate just for our own preference of not wanting to eat the medications through the meat or eggs. There have been studies done, and I believe that all of the hormones and etc. are what causes some of the health problems people have now days, thus why we don't use meds on our birds. We only worm once a year, at molt, when hens aren't laying. The one time I did medicate a hen was due to her leg being severed by a dog attack, and that was just for my kids' sake. I personally would have just put her down, but kids wouldn't have it. The whole time she was on meds and for 3 weeks after, we tossed eggs tht she would lay. Now, we wave a wonderful one legged house pet. And may I add, all of my birds are healthy and fit without vaccines or meds.
