Here are a few pics from around our place. These are a few I have access to - the better ones are stored on my wife's old computer, but this should give you an idea of the terrain/landscape in middle TN.
Ok having grown up in South FL I have lived in 7 states. Furthest North was VT. Moved to TN from PA. This is a lovley state BUT do not move here unless you tranfer with a job. It is a low income state and not many jobs around that make any good money. It is also a much slower paced state. Not much happening around the state ether unless in one of the big cities.
Weather varies from area to area. Summers are hot but NOT humid here in East TN. I am further East than Knoxville which is the far west part of East Tn. I do not really concider Knoxville part of East TN for its weather is different than ours. This winter everyone will agree has been a killer. Lots of snow and deep snow. Schools closed for most of the winter. If it even threathens snow they close schools here. Next year I expect even more snow.
There is alot of places for sale here. Many on good land. If you wish to homestead Tn is a great place for that in the country. Most of TN is still farm land. Many mountains and rocky areas. Land is cheap in mountains... you too can own 20 acres of steep down hill mountain forest for $30.000. If you wish to buy you need to see before putting money down. This is a real must. Relators are allowed to take shots off a property, they do not have to show what you are buying. Therefor they show the best view from it but not the land itself, which could be rocky and steep hill. Buyer BEWARE.
cybercat has a good point........ I'm just east of him/her...I would not consider Knoxville part of east tn either (nor would I live there or anywhere in tn west...just my opinion. Besides way too much like Indianapolis over that way for me
