Yes, thank you I have been mass reading! I think ill try the crockpot method i found there. I have a 7qt crockpot that is fairly new and reliable. I would like to make a dedicated Styrofoam cooler one, but supplies are rather short.

We get a Styrofoam cooler each month because someone at my house needs medication that needs to be kept cold. I've seen people on both Craigslist and Facebook marketplace who offer theirs for free. Perhaps keep an eye out for one, if not for this hatch maybe a future one.

Yes, I was thinking about that. I was going to ask around. I have a thermostat regulator on the way now, so its can use the crockpot, but I can use it for a more permanent Styrofoam one in the future.

Well.. its day 20! I had nightmares all night about trying (and failing) to hatch chicks with my own body heat because I didnt have anything else. Then I woke up and thought the morning birds were chicks creeping from the basement. so I think its safe to say I'm a little wound tight waiting, and very excited.
