If you have a run for them PLEASE cover it to keep out climbers, jumpers and raptors. If it's a solid type if can give some protection from rain, snow, and too much sun. Glad you joined the BYC flock.

Thank you all very much for the friendly and helpful advice and warm welcome! It's so nice to find a place to exchange ideas and advice without all the gimmicks and $$ requested from other sites on the web. Chicken farmers are a breed of their own and I'm happy to join the flock!
