anyone done this and have a workable plan? I only have 2 chickens now that are recovering from injuries, but I'm wanting to get several more. If you are able to help with ideas, plans, pictures, etc... PLEASE!!! Thank you in advance!

Usually due to pallets not being the same size you have to wing it as you go along. Get some general ideas then collect your pallets and see what comes up.

If you have mild winters and little snow 4 square ft per bird in the coop and 10 sq ft per bird in the run is the minimum.

Have you had a chance to check out YouTube, find anything to give you ideas?
The standard pallet size is 48 x 40. If you have any industrial parks in your area, that's a good place to look, also tile shops and vending companies.

we’ve gotten pallets for free from lowe’s in the past... I’ve been watching videos tonight... I wish someone had directions I could just follow, lol!

I understand I've been looking at pallet coops for my chickens you can Google free building plans for the coop and there's a lot but I think there right u kind of have to just wing it that's what I'm going to try anyways start with 2×4 and steel hinges and straps I think once the frame is built the rest will be easy . I hope anyway! Lol

my local library actually had three books about chicken coops/plans! I requested to hold the books and can’t wait to check them out this week!!

Here’s a little idea from our kids swing set that I converted into pallet coop.
