Well I raise pheasants and quail and I currently had 30 bobwhites in a pen and it fit then comfertly with lots of room to run and fly around. I sold them all and now I want to get about a hundred quail. How much sq. Ft do bobwhites need for raiseing for sale? They are sold before they reach about 10 weeks.

I think about two sq ft per bird I read somewhere.Thats ground space not cubic space. If you are not using for training you could get by with less but may experience some cannibalism. They don't need room to fly if you are not going to hunt them.Put some gren branches in pen for them to hide and that will help cut back on losses. I have about 150 in a 20x20x8 pen. Thats a little over 2 feet per bird but I have pheasants(10) and a turkey in there as well.
