Warm, Freshly Laid Eggs on a Cold Morning!

Whew, it's brisk out there this morning. I forgot my gloves in the house and didn't want to track up my freshly cleaned hardwood floors, so decided I could live without them until I got my hands wet spraying out the dog kennel. Hands were so cold they were hurting, so went into the coop and grabbed the freshly laid eggs a few of the girls were still sitting on (LOL, had to fight for one egg), stuck one in each of my jacket pockets, thanked the girls as I always do, and had myself instant, downhome hand warmers, LOL. It was heavenly!

Just another benefit of having chickens!

Oh! I love that feeling! Just this morning I found the girls had been busy before I opened their door. Reached in and sure enough 2 nice warm eggs! Took them in and fried them for DS breakfast. Now thats fresh!!!!!!!!
