Ok start laughing..... NOW!

My ducks feet from the rescue are real cut up. I we ended up getting dog coats for our bald Turkeys :wee

I have been watching for Bramble foot, ok I need to do more research because I know I spelled it wrong. I have been taking everyone in the house one by one and letting them play in the tub, mainly so I can really see how each one is.
Got to love my husband and his caring and loving heart.
He knows that you can't wrap up a flipper guess he tried when I was down in Texas. He was wondering if we bought baby booties or dog shoes for the ducks if it would help protect their feet, while they are free ranging during the day and then take them off at night when I tuck them in at night.
Any thoughts, comments ideas smiles or laughs?

My thought is this: when you can't protect the feet through shoes/socks, etc, maybe it could be possible to protect the substrate. I mean, whatever they are walking on could be controlled. A nice soft bedding material could provide some relief. Personally, I have had excellent results by using chopped straw as a bedding material. It comes packaged in a tightly compressed bale, in a plastic wrapper. Once you open the "brick" of straw, it fluffs up to a huge amount of volume.

We got them all from a rescue. While I was out of town hubby built a wooden bridge over the gravel driveway. Ours are only in the coop from dusk till 4-5am. Then they have about 5 acres of grass and garden to free range. We are treating their feet and putting ointment on the vet gave us. We just spoil them like crazy. So we wanted to see what you all thought.

When we lived in Chicago our dog wore booties because of broken glass, rocks and other lovely objects found on the sidewalk.
