**Warning*** yucky graphic pics! Good news! Update on Page 11!!!!!!

I had a silkie shipped to me from NC and it had everything your describing, It would fling a foul yellow discharge from it's nostrils, and her eyes would bubble and she had to breath from her mouth. We took her to a good avian vet and was diagnosed with Chronic respiratory disease (CRD). I'm not saying this is what your bird has. My bird had to go on Baytril shots and it cleared up immediately! They were $15 a shot when I had to get them. This is her with the discharge crusted over.

He said it could be CRD or Ecoli. He said either way it is NOT a death sentence! I just need to treat him and he will get better. I told him how he was responding to the medication and he said that is GREAT! If it were Coryza he would not be reacting to the meds.

His eye are not bubbled over anymore and he is eating and drinking a lot. I cleaned his eyes and nose instead of him being all stuffed up his nose it running now. So I have got the passage way opened!!!! I am oh so thankful for that. I have had many answered prayers today!!! Thank you all!!!!!

EXCELLENT news! Not that he has CRD or ecoli, but that it is probably not Coryza. Doc has helped me so much in the past, he's a wonderful guy. Sometimes he is traveling and hard to reach, but if you can get in touch with him, he's very knowledgable. Has a PhD in Poultry Science.
