Hi there,
One of our warren hens has really started to take a shine to our chicks which were incubated and raised separately.
It has only been in the last week or two since they have been out in the same vicinity but the warren in question seems to be walking up to them and actually taking care of them.
For example it would stay close to them and scratch at the dirt with them.
Should this actually happen as the warren didn't raise them and the other hens can try to get aggressive against the chicks?
Can anyone provide an explanation?
Cheers
