Iceclaw trotted off toward Shadowclan border. "Do you smell anything?" he asked. He himself smelled a fairly recent scent close to the border but not passing. He wanted to see if she could pick it up.

Foxfang walked to a sand clearing.
"Let's practice a harder move today. The leap and hold. It's good for smaller cats like you. Not ideal for me. You jump on you opponents back and hold on. It's helps avoid injury and gives you Other options for new moves" he instructed.

Bloodstar looked on. "Thunder Clan has started patrolling borders near ours more often. Sooner or later those squirrel eaters are going to cross it. I want patrols strengthened and possibly night patrols." he growled.
 
Leafpaw took a huge sniff and coughed. "I think I smell some Shadowclan." She wheezed. A patch of coltsfoot caught her eye, "Hey, coltsfoot! Greywing needed this!"

Copperpaw nodded and crouched down, as she planned out the move a gust of wind ruffled her fur and the scent of squirrel surrounded them. "A distraction!" Thought Copperpaw and she exploded up into the air and onto Foxfangs back. "Did I do it right?" She asked.
 
Maplepaw felt Willowtail shiver behind her. Duskpelt and Clawear flicked their tails approvingly. Duskpelt walked over and signalled for Maplepaw to follow him. "Let's go see if the deputy wants us to be on a patrol." He meowed.
 
Iceclaw nodded good. "Why don't you grab some so Graywing doesn't have to come out here." he said. "and before we go let's mark these borders"

Foxfang was pleased with the apprentices quick learning good. "Now good things to try when you achieve it is trying to scratch your opponents back or face."

Bloodstar walked over to Dusk pelt. "Take your apprentice and Wilowtail"
 
Leafpaw tugged the coltsfoot out of the ground and followed her mentor away.
Copperpaw beamed with pride and nodded as Foxfang gave her the tips, soon all the cats in the forest would know she was the best fighter!
Duskpelt knodded and signalled for Willowtail to follow. Maplepaw ran ahead, maybe this time she would get to be in a border skirmish!
 
Before they could get far Iceclaw heard voices on the other side of the thunder path. "Wait" he hissed silently.

Foxfang nodded "now let's practice it when I'm attacking you." he said and sprang for her.

Darksky ran up to Dusk pelt. "I'm coming too."
 
Leafpaw stopped and fear stirred inside her, the last thing she wanted to do was fight. She trembled and listened as the voices drew closer until she couldn't bare it anymore and she shot up a tree, coltsfoot dangling in her jaws, the herbs had to stay safe.

Copperpaw dived under Foxfang and pushed upwards with her paws sheathed. As she pushed into Foxfangs belly she twisted over and pushed up, trying to throw Foxfang off her back.

Duskpelt knodded and they started to near the thunderpath, as the drew closer he scented Thunderclan.
 
Iceclaw growled and hissed at the cats that appeared. Inside he was furious with Leafpaw. She had left him to fight alone. He would speak to Stormstar latter.

Foxfang was impressed. He stumbled but flipped himself over and swiped at her face.
 
Timberheart showed Echopaw the sand training hollow. The two watched Foxfang and Copperpaw practice. "Wow, I can't wait to learn how to do that!"
 
Leafpaw felt a sudden rage at herself and she clambered to the end of the branch. Those Shadowclan warriors were going to be suprised.

Copperpaw caught a glimce of Echopaw and Timberheart watching, she tried to dodge but the paw caught her right on the nose. As she fell backwards her leg caught in a branch and she clenched her jaws to stop the painful wail rising in her trought.
