Sophia sat up in her bed and rubbed the weariness out of her eyes. She stood and dressed in an good pair of riding trousers and a cobalt blue silk blouse. She grabbed her sword, whip, and bow. She slung the quiver full of arrows on her back, tucked the sword into the sheath, and strung the bull whip through her belt loop. Sophia walked out of the small room she had rented for the night. She went down the stairs into the stables where Midnight and a few other horses were. Sophia went to Midnight's stall and put his halter on. She saddled him but tied him up so she could go and grab the few belongings she had; some clothes, food, and money. She tromped back down and packed her things into the saddle bags before bridling him. Sophia led him out and mounted him; steering him towards the market place.
