Silverstripe only looked at him. She hardly even ate her mouse.

Dapplestar growled, going back into her den.
Shadowpelt walked past her, his whole body submissive. He walked up to Kestrelflight, dipping his head. "I would like to go out and hunt." he said hopefully.

Silverstream remained frozen, even after the leader had gone. Rainkit tumbled up to her mother, cuddling next to her. Silverstream didn't react.

"Fine," Kestrelflight growled, ready to follow him.

Dapplestar gave the kits a dirty look when she saw them. Inwardly Shadowpelt sighed. He turned and began to trot out of camp. He hoped Kestrelflight would cooperate and stay quiet while he hunted.

Ashkit watched his leader in confusion. Usually she was nice. He shrugged, maybe she's just worried about mama. He thought, and scampered after her. "My momma will be okay, Dapplestar. I know she will! You don't need to worry." he gave her a happy smile.

Rainkit curled her tiny body around her mother, and purred loudly. "You'll get better, I know you will!" she squeaked, smiling. Finally, Silverstream came out of her trance. She gave a violent cough, then smiled. "I hope so, sweetheart."

Kestrelflight trotted after him, his pawsteps quiet, but stiff. "I can't believe I have to watch after him like a kit," he muttered.

"I'm not worried about her," Dapplestar growled, trying desperately to not take her anger out on the kit. Shadowpelt's ears flicked back, and his eyes narrowed. Maybe... if I attack him... No... no, NO! I'm not going to give into my anger! He grunted, shaking his head and picking up his pace.

Ashkit cocked his head. Now he was really confused. "Who are you worried about then?" he asked, hopping alongside her.

Kestrelflight growled, not letting him out of his sight.

"I'm not worried about anything," Dapplestar said. "It's just... your mother did something very bad, Ashkit." She glanced back at him, before going into her den. Shadowpelt snarled under his breath, dropping to a crouch. He stalked up to a rabbit, ready to pounce.

Ashkit froze. He cocked his head, raising a brow. "My mama?" he wondered quietly. Suddenly, he was tackled by his brother. "GOTCHA!" Shadowkit squeaked, curling his nose up. Ashkit only laid there, stunned.

Kestrelflight sat in a sphinx position. (that's what I call it, lol)

Dapplestar chuckled a bit at the kits, but still had a bit of a guarded expression in her eyes. Kits grow up, she reminded herself silently. (Lol!)

In a moment, Shadowpelt emerged from the bushes carrying his rabbit.

Rainkit pounced on her brothers.

Kestrelflight just watched him closely.

Dapplestar went inside her den. Shadowpelt stopped. His eyes locked with Kestrelflight's, and for a moment, he debated the odds of him attacking and running. He knew he would never again be allowed in a clan, for he would be known as a traitor, but he longed to see if Silverstream was alive. His head fell, and his eyes lost the murderous glare that had once been blazing.

Stormtail came up beside Kestrelflight. "I'll take over watching him," he offered, not caring if Shadowpelt heard.

"Fine," Kestrelflight grunted, not moving. 'Lost my chance.' Shadowpelt snarled to himself, glaring at Stormtail. He bristled his hackles.

"Get in camp," Stormtail growled, his eyes starting to blaze.

Cloudshade was taking Silverstripe out of camp. Silverstripe stopped, looking at Shadowpelt with the same lost expression before Cloudshade coaxed her on and she continued.

Silverstripe looked up at him, holding the mouse, before padding away and settling down to eat it.

"Do not do that!" Dapplestar snapped. Frostcloud stepped between them.

"Not right now, Dapplestar," Frostcloud begged. "Please. She's under a lot of stress."

Dapplestar snorted. "Well, she and I need to have a little talk." She gave Silverstream a withering glare.

Shadowpelt looked at her, his whole body sagging. "I'm sorry...." he whispered, looking around at his clan.

Silverstream held her breath. "I-I.." she stopped herself. Talking was too painful right now. She only stared at Dapplestar in fright, her gaze never leaving the leader.

Silverstripe only looked at him. She hardly even ate her mouse.

(Could you delete some quotes? I'm on my iPod and can't do that.)

Shadowpelt dropped the rabbit in the pile, then padded past Silverstripe and into his nest.

(I'll just have to start over sorry, it only wants to delete some text not the boxes)

Silverstripe started to bristle. "You know, I knew you never loved me, but I didn't know you didn't care about me at all!" She lashed out, before storming away into the medicine den.

Shadowpelt turned to her, but she was already gone. A horrid sadness tore at his heart, causing intense, burning pains unlike anything he had ever felt. He groaned, wincing in pain.

Meanwhile, in RiverClan, Dapplestar came back to the medicine den after Frostcloud had left to collect herbs. "Silverstream."
Silverstream stirred in her sleep, curling her tail around her kits who slept beside her. She blinked slowly, turning tired eyes on Dapplestar. She knew what was coming. "Yes, Dapplestar." she said, more a statement than a question. She dipped her head in respect.

(How old are the kits?)

Dapplestar's entire body was quivering from fury. "Traitor," Dapplestar muttered.

"Dapplestar." Frostcloud came to the entrance. "Leave her alone."

(They are about 4 moons.)

Silverstream ignored Frostcloud. "I'm no traitor." she growled back, her ears flat.
