Quote: They finished showing them around the territories. "That'll be all for today," Stormtail said, looking up at Silverpelt and the moon, "it's getting late. But the real work starts tomorrow, so rest up."

Quote: "As long as they stay out of our territories, we usually leave them alone. If they try and intrude or steal our prey, though, we attack. If they're homeless kits, we'll take them in. Sometime, even older loners, if they can prove themselves to be loyal, but that's pretty rare."

Bristlepaw said, "Okay." trying to hide that he was tired.
Sandpaw yawned. "Okay." she agreed.

"Oh." he said. He wondered if he should go into the forest. He was tired of being a kittypet.
Misty sat in the twoleg yard, listening to the conversation between her brother and whoever that other cat was.

Specklefur looked over her shoulder as she heard the twoleg come out. She wrinkled her nose in disgust at the "food" it put in a dish. "Tasteless slop and rabbit dropping shaped things," she muttered.
When Stormy saw the cat's reaction, he wondered just how good the food on the forest was. "What does the food in the forest taste like?" he asked.

Quote: "Well, it's kind of hard to describe," Specklefur said. "Where I come from, we eat mostly rabbits and birds. Rabbit tastes... kinda salty, but not bad. It's very good, actually. You'd have to try it for yourself, though. But I can guarantee you, it's much, much better than kittypet food." She said "kittypet food" with much distaste.
