The strange tortoiseshell cat called Eaglepelt haunted Lionpaw's dreams again that night. "Do you have an answer?" she asked coldly. Dawnpaw was nowhere in sight.

Lionpaw froze. If she thinks I'm scared, they won't think I'm any good, so I won't become the strongest warrior!! He thought, and quickly changed his demeanor. He let his tail fluff out, and raised it high in the air. "No." he snapped. His stunning amber eyes were fixed on Eaglepelt intensely.
