Silverstream hooked her claw around the snake, gently working it's fangs from Goldie's leg. Once it was out, she flung it into the bushes. "Nope. Unless you want a nasty meal." She chuckled. "You okay?"

Goldie tested her leg, putting some weight on it... and instantly regretted doing so. "Oo, ow!" she yowled. "Man this hurts." she shook her head and limped on.

"Should we head back?" Silverstream asked uneasily. "If it hurts, I think we should."

"Sure you were," Mapleshade spat sarcastically. "You've been gone since before sunhigh!" She flicked her tail to the rising moon.

Sagestar hissed to quiet them. "I don't want to hear anymore about this. Owlpaw. I want to see you in my den in 5 minutes." She yowled, her green and gold eyes cold.

Silverstream chuckled. "Probably not, but at least you got something earlier. I haven't caught anything in two days!" She blushed, feeling the weight of her belly once more.
 
Terrified, Owlpaw went to Sagestar's den.
 
Owlpw said down, wrapping her tail timidly around her paws. "Yes, Sagestar?" She murmured quietly.
