~Warriors RP~ ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan

"I just hope mine isn't like Owlpaw," she mewed jokingly, taking a paw and swiping it over her ear.

"Thank you, Dovewing," Silverstripe meowed politely, settling down to share a starling with Crowfrost.
Troutfur chuckled, his eyes light. "So, everything's well in Windclan?"

Dovewing nodded, hobbling back to the elder's den. "Darn kits grow up so fast. We lost ourselves the best apprentice there was." She griped to the others, sinking down into her nest.

"Yup," Specklefur meowed, smiling as she licked his ear.

"At least she did something," Ravenfoot complained. "Stormpaw hardly ever does anything. Just yesterday he missed a tick right behind my ear!"

After finishing the starling, Crowfrost went to bury the bones while Silverstripe went into the warrior's den. She moved her nest away from Shadowpelt's and beside Crowfrost's, before curling up and slipping into a deep, but uneasy sleep.

Troutfur nodded, but as he did so, become alarmed at how dark it had become. "I should go." He said quickly. "Tomorrow. Same time?"

"He's missed more than that." Dovewing growled, poking at her bedding.

Shadowpelt slunk into the warrior's den, his face aglow with happiness. Then, he saw Silverstripe. Every happy bit in him vanished to cold sorrow. Her nest was away from his, and next to Crowfrost's. He let his tail fall, as he slipped into his nest, and began to toss and turn.

"Yes," Specklefur nodded. Hesitantly, she mewed, "I love you," giving him a goodbye lick on the muzzle.

"I've counted five thorns in this no-good moss!" Adderflight bickered. "And it was dripping wet! I swear, I'll scratch that apprentice next time he comes in here!"

Silverstripe found herself in a cool, grassy clearing. The same place she had been when Ebonykit had spoken to her. As she saw the black kit come forward, Silverstripe felt all her rage and sadness come out. "Why?! Why are you doing this to me?! All I want is for him to love me!! Why must you create so much pain for me?!" Tears streamed Silverstripe's face, and her sides racked.

Ebonykit placed her tail gently on Silverstripe's shoulder. "His decisions are not ours to make, Silverstripe," Ebonykit mewed softly.

Roughly Silverstripe pushed her sister away. "Don't touch me! You just don't want to get involved!" Silverstripe hissed. "You've never been in love," she went on bitterly. "You couldn't possibly understand!"

In the waking world, tears slipped out of her eyes and onto the moss.

Troutfur grinned, licking her cheek. He swished his tail over her shoulders, then bounded away back towards camp.

Dovewing nodded. "I'll help with that." She agreed.

Shadowpelt looked up at Silverstripe, worrying about her. He wished she hadn't seen him with Silverstream, he truly did love her, but only as a big brother would love a younger sister.

Specklefur went back on the moorland, catching a rabbit before heading off to the warrior's den to rest.

At dawn, the next morning, Silverstripe was up. Crowfrost went out on the dawn patrol, and she went to the fresh-kill pile and took a vole. Instead of actually eating it, though, she merely picked at it, her eyes hollow and clouded with grief and pain. She longed to be sharing it with Shadowpelt, but he knew that he didn't have the same feelings for her that she had for him.
