Nightstar leaped onto the highrock. "Let all cats old enough to swim gather beneath the highrock for a Clan meeting!" She yowled. Hailpaw and Nightpaw's tails swished with happiness as the Clan began to gather. They were becoming warriors! That much closer to joining ShadowClan and being with Silverstripe Hailpaw thought silently, his eyes glowing.

"I, Nightstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these two apprentices," she began. "They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Hailpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend your Clan, even with your life?"

"I do," Hailpaw promised. She never said RiverClan, just my Clan.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Hailpaw, from this moment forward, you shall be known as Hailshadow. StarClan honors your kindness and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan," Nightstar meowed. She rested her muzzle on Hailshadow's head, and he gave his leader a lick on the shoulder. She then moved onto Nightpaw, "Nightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend your Clan, even with your life?"

"I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Nightpaw, you shall be known as Nightshade. StarClan honors your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

"Hailshadow! Nightshade! Hailshadow! Nightshade!" The Clan yowled. Nightshade and Hailshadow beamed in happiness, and Cloudbreeze looked on in pride, her yowls the loudest.
 
Thornclaw helped Dusk back to the ShadowClan camp once the attack was over, taking her to the medicine den.

Cloudshade gave a grim sigh. "Maplestar lost a life," she replied, her voice low. "I'm not going to say anything about what their fate is; both of them are in StarClan's paws now." But it looks bleak, for especially for Silverstripe she added silently as she went to the back for more herbs.

She proudly put the pheasant on the fresh-kill pile, before taking a good look at everything else on there. She licked her chops as she saw an inviting rabbit; it must have been just brought back before she arrived. Her stomach growled with hunger, and she had already fed the Clan with a nice pheasant. Taking the rabbit's back leg in her teeth, she trotted over by a rock to sit down, and saw Vipertail. "Hey," she meowed cheerfully, "want to share?"
