My dog has two warts that seem
To really irritate him as he chews on them constantly, rubbing his skin raw and making them bleed. I’m to the point where I think I’m just going to freeze them off as they are causing him discomfort. Does anybody have experience with wart removal on dogs?

*i know that people will say that I should take him to the vet and have a professional take care of it. However, as a medical professional myself I am not about to spend several hundred dollars at my
Local vet to do a procedure that I have performed on humans a number of times.*

I would first get a vet simply because there are some medical issues that can cause warts in dogs so freezing them off might not be of any use. Also, make sure that they are warts and not fatty tumors or other issues common in dogs.

In my experience, warts in dogs don't typically work well for freezing off with home kits as they are larger diamater and deeper in the skin than those methods are intended for

I just had three growths removed from my dog and it didn't cost "hundreds of dollars". The growths on your dog may or may not be simple warts. They could be malignancies. Professional intervention is in the best interest of your dog. If you think your vet overcharges, find another vet.

Hold you horses gang @drewskimac said they are a medical professional
I am in dogs spent 35 years before was forced to surrender have alcohol, sponges,
neosporin and super glue .. please tell me breed, age add picture on the warts also

I need to visit your vet. Mine cost 75$ just for an examination and the treatments are usually pretty high which is why I threw that number out there. I’m not saying it’s unfair, my goal of this posting was to determine if others have done this themselves with success to save some money. Thanks for the input!

Thanks all, I have had him examined and been told that all signs show he is healthy and that these are warts rather than tumors. I’ll wait a bit longer and see if they continue to bother him before I decide if I will seek more help from the vet.
