warts on the bill of sick duck

Hello, One of our khaki campbell ducks was suddenly lethargic today, and avoided the other ducks. This evening we noticed three 'warts' on her bill, and on the inside of her bill there are black dots at the same spots. She was very docile when picked up to be checked, and didn't try to move her head away when we checked her bill, so we know she is sick. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?

Hmmm. I wonder if it is bacterial or fungal? And if it is an infection, it may be systemic (worst case).

Can you get her to a vet?

In the meantime, try some vitamins, or some apple cider vinegar in her water. You could put some antibiotic ointment on the outside of her bill and see how it goes.

I'm sorry to say that the ill duck died that same night. I still am not sure what went wrong.
