Her name is Meadow and she is a Barred Plymouth Rock... She has warts on her wattle and almost like Pasty Butt on her bum but no actual blockage! She has had it for a while and has had not a single problem so that's good! just don't want it to be an actual disease like thing!!! here is a picture!

She is perfectly healthy other than those odd things!!!! Hope its not some thing bad!!!!

P.S she has had infectious coryza b4 except she had the "symptons" b4 the coryza!!!!!

Wash off her butt with warm water and mild soap. You might have to soak her for a bit to get everything to come off. It's really important that you do that because the ammonia in her poop can cause a sore on her backside and then you have to deal with infection and maggots and such so make sure she is clean. If the poop is stubborn you can use scissors to cut it off.

I think she has fowl pox. Caused my mosquitos and really nothing you can do except use a cotton swab to apply some iodine. It will run its course. If you don't have iodine others have suggested Listerine. The old fashioned one that is a killer. Lots of alcohol and menthol.

For the diarrhea I would give all of your chickens plain yogurt to get their gut bacteria back to normal. It's probably off because of the pox. If the chickens won't eat the yogurt (mine won't) mix it with cheerios. Give approx 1 tablespoon per bird per day for at least a week. Eyeball it. Place it on a paper plate or 2 and let them go at it. Just make sure the sick one gets her fair share.

Up their nutrition so they have a fighting chance. Give scrambled egg, chopped greens, a little fruit (not much because this can aggrivate diarrhea) and get some poultry vitamins for their water.

Good luck....She'll be fine
