Looks like it has a pea comb to me. This rules out Dominique also it should have yellow legs as a Dominique.

I'm thinking mixed breed possibly a barred form of meat bird, I forget what those are often called, as that is a big bodied bird. Oh wait is it kosher king? Now I'm not actually familiar with kosher Kings so I don't know what their combs are supposed to be or if this is actually one.

It's definitely not a barred rock or a Dominique unless the comb is just unclear in the photo.

Also I'm feeling cockeral on this one I think I might see some saddle feathers starting and the tail looks like it's beginning to form the sickle shape.

Do you know the age of this bird?

It's definitely not a mature rooster as in over 1 year but could be a cockeral male under a year and I'm guessing it's about 10 weeks.

Now if both parents were barred it would have to be female because of the single barring gene but if it only has one copy it could go either way.

It looks like a single comb but its formed different. Like a pea comb. Its legs are black and yellow and its comb is almost bright red. Idk the true age. I have a barred rock hen and shes totally different from her. Thats how i kinda figured it wasnt a barred rock. Plus it makes a clucking sound like a hen. I placed her with my RIR and he doesn't seem to be threated not bulking up trying to fight like if it is a rooster.
