Honestly I very rarely have to wash any. If there is any debris on them I first try to rub it off. Then if it requires water I run it under hot water and use a veggie brush. These are placed in a container that my family knows means use first please!
I sell my eggs also...and tell people they are "straight from the nest" so should be washed before they eat them. Since washing them takes the bloom off, they supposedly last longer if you don't wash them. If there is too much debrie on them, my animals get that egg
I was wondering what I should do about dirty eggs since I want to be selling eggs eventually. Most of them are clean but some will be a little dirty. I also do not wash them until right before I crack them, and I only use water. But I'm sure people don't want to be buying dirty-looking eggs.
