Washing clean eggs??

Our eggs almost always come out clean. Are you still supposed to wash them before using? I’ve only been washing the soiled ones under hot water. I’m new to egg laying:)

We wash every egg right after we collect them and before they go into the fridge. I don't mind removing the bloom because we eat them fairly quickly. I use warm water and a tiny bit of dish detergent. If everything doesn't come off that way I very, very gently rub it with a piece of Magic Eraser.

Story of my life: I ate a stink bug once. Maybe twice. Probably thrice. I got snail poop in my salad. Every. Frigging. Time.
I had cows sneeze on me and I ended up covered in snot like the brontosaurus scene in jurassic park. Let's not talk about their wet farts when I'm trying to herd them in the morning...
No I don't wash my eggs not even if they're filthy, and I eat them raw. I haven't died in 50 years and I barely catch a cold.

I've had chickens for 4 years and I don't wash them. If one is a bit soiled, I just use a paper towel to remove what I can. I never put my eggs in the fridge. When I'm ready to crack a soiled one, I just rinse it under warm water first and wash the stuff off. If one is cracked or got washed, then they go in the fridge.

I don't wash clean eggs at any point before they hit the pan. If they have a little smear of something on them, I wipe it off before storing in the fridge. If they've got a lot of poo on them, I smash them on the ground to be eaten by something other than a human. Washing can sometimes cause the porous shell to absorb bacteria. I'd rather just cook the germs at time of cracking.

I figure if there's ever enough poo or mud that bits might fall in with the egg when I crack it, that can be rubbed or picked off without too much effort. If there's a tiny bit of dirt from muddy feet or something and I'd need to wash the egg to remove it, it'll just stay stuck to the shell.

I almost never was my eggs. I store them on the counter. If the eggs are dirty, I might wash them and store them in the fridge but I’d probably just cook them and feed them back to the chickens.

I live in Italy and eggs sold in the grocery store are not washed and the eggs are not refrigerated.
