Washington state newbie, and I want feathered house buddies!

Hi, been stalking the forums for a few weeks now, and my boyfriends kept telling me I should finally join.

I wanted a puppy, but I knew I couldn't have one right now, so I was looking for alternative pets. Then, I discovered you could have chickens in the house! I've been looking into it, and they seem like the perfect pet for me. But, I want to make sure I'll have all the info to be a perfect chicken mama before I start. So, hi, I'm from WA!
