I agree all should be respected. There is no reason why folks can't and shouldn't be able to have a decent discussion about anything and, if need be, end by agreeing to disagree. There's no reason why people need to get all huffy and pull a Joy Beyar and stomp off in a tizzy.

That being said, the separation of church and state is a misnomer and is the second biggest misunderstood issue out there. A thorough study of the actual papers written and others by Jefferson and other Founding Fathers easily clears it up.

Also, if politics and religion can't be discussed openly and even-handedly, then where does that leave us? Especially when it comes to election time and politics. How does one educate and inform themselves if honest, open discussion can't be made?

Now to the real reason I came back up tonight. Thought I'd let everyone know that I recorded a show on Channel 9 - I thinks that's PBS - called "The History of The Chicken". If y'all get a chance to watch it, I think you'll enjoy it. It's funny. I mean ROTFLOL funny!

God Bless,

New article in comcast this morning about how almost all US Cities are running out of water, now.
And when there is 10 million on this dirt ball planet, we will be lucky if we are not elbow to elbow.
We need to have enough brains now to stop over breeding or learn to run off cliffs in droves like lemmings.
Man has no right to continue to wipe the animals habitat off the face of the earth (THAT smacks of selfishness extrodinare!)
Having 6 kids or more in the 20s.30s and 40s was necessary even if not taking into account life expectancy and the fact that alot of children meant help on the BIG FARMS.
This is no longer the case.
Man has no right to have anymore right to overbreed and rape every speck of land and every drop of water, than any other animal on this planet.
They have rights to be here too.
We were not here to rule over and use, we were put here to use the brains we have and wake up !
Good grief!
And we gas the over population of dogs and cats, what about us ???
I apologize to those who might see this rant as offensive, but it is a very inconvinient truth.
OK, I am done, I am upset about this well business, and will continue on with the chicken forum.
The well driller boss guy will be here this morning and discuss what we can do now, and I think what we have decided to do is get an excavator up here, and dig out Gary's original well...to a BIG DEEP hole.
Then we dump in crushed rock, and place big round ceramic pipe sections, and let it fill up.
The increased surface area means way more than 11 gallons an hour.
Wish we would have done this in the first place...
In the mean time, about 15 feet away and uphill from this hole we are going to dig (Cuz we KNOW there is water there) is my brand new 8 x 8 coop, half with Blue Ameraucanas and half with OEs.
That will have to be relocated.
The coop made into a mini cabin for guests or something...darn it.
But building a new coop is way cheaper than digging another well, and taking a gamble on it coming up dry.

God Bless,

See if you can look ahead in a TV guide if you have it, and see when/if the show will be on again..alot of people did not have time to see it last time it was on or did not have it on comcast.

I use the plastic garbage cans...they can hold almost 3 50# bags and rats/mice/little kids and sometimes grown men cannot get the lids off!!! Saw some nice ones at Home Depot a few days ago for something like $8.95 each...

Moving to Washington. Currently live in CA. I have to leave behind my five 6 month old chickens that just began to lay. So sad. Going to a good home though. I will be moving to somewhere around Redomond. When I get seattled I would like to start again. Anything I need to know about raising chickens in WA. Where do I get them?
