Men can indeed be like that, and such babies when they get sick, too.
All mine hardley ever got sick, DH has been sick 1X in 3 years with the flu, but man o man do they/did he, play it up...like they never been sick before, did not know what to do or what meds to take...would not go lie down, martyrs to the gills !
Once sick it is non stop waiting hand & foot....

When my son was little, and he was sick to his tummy (or any kind of sick) he would run down the hall and jump in bed with me...and barf all over me in the dark!
I cannot tell you how many nights I had to change my bedding and night gown and take a shower and about then he'd run in again and barf all over me again.
I quilt, and washing 4 quilts the next day at the laundromat was not fun either.
One time when he and his sister had the measles they both did the barf thing, I could not get them to go in the bathroom and puke...(she 4 he 6)
That night I ran out of clean blankets sheets and quilts and to sleep on the couch with the dog.

I remember how tired I was......
Cheryl my sister swears Tylanol PM or was it Excedrin PM is a must have for insomnia nights, a glass of milk or chamomile tea and a few PM's and off to sleepy-by land he will go !

As for PM meds... They don't work on him... I watched him down an entire bottle of niquil PM and then stay awake for 6 more hours... He got smacked and called a freak for that. I also told him NOT to do that again...

Yes you can O.D. from to much cold medicine... Just like any other medication... Like I said he got smacked, and told to never do that again. And by smack I mean up side the head for being a dummy... lol

I set up a little mini run, just outside my coop gate. The girls are happy in their 6x7' extra run. lol fighting over grass, bugs, and whatever goodies they pick up. They crack me up. This is only the second time they have been let out sence I lost my roo to a coon... And even now they are not "out." Still fenced in, but they THINK they are out. lol
