Oh nuts! Really? Yes, I had several entries and was there Sat. and Sunday until about 1400 or so when I started home.

So help me out, which one were you? What did you bring to the show? Oh, I am soooooo bad with people and names!

God Bless,

Tailfeathers--ultasol is also Jenni -- she had the beautiful goose and adorable silkies:) super nice girl and a blast to hang out with--if you can keep up with her busy self! Lol!!
I am the jen who helped you with those big awkward tables and talked to you about your buckeyes a little

Have a great day!!

Ah, now I got it! Thanks! Now if I can just remember until next April at the Cascade Spring show if y'all come or next year's show in Chehalis.

Thanks for helping tear down Jen. How's your arms! LOL And Jenni, I bet you would agree that the Denny's in Chehalis on 1st Street is NOT one that you'd want to recommend. Ugh!

Well, I better go try and get some work done...

God Bless,

Yes! Awful Denny's! Grrr,.. poor Bruce was about to collapse, he hadn't eaten since breakfast.

I wish I could stay longer to help break down, but there was talk of snow on the pass on 12, and I got through just in time as it was starting a wee bit as I left. I think the storm wasn't as bad as was rumored.

Chehalis is one I am definitely making- it's the Western Silkie National. I've got my birds in breeding pens now because I will be conditioning them during normal breeding season. Lets hope I can inspire them to lay now.

I wish I could remember who it was who was telling me (it was more than one person) that the Spring Monroe show wasn't likely to occur. I feel foolish.

I think the wine auction was a roaring success. I came home with more wine than I brought. They are sitting in the fridge, waiting for a special dinner or another show. I was glad there was non-alcoholic beverages auctioned too, kids and certain adults really enjoyed the sparkling juice.

Oh man it sounds like you all had a blast!

Chickielady!----- I have a picture of the duck hat I want!!! PM me your email address so I can send it to you!

Thank you for sending me the great pics Wendi!!!!

Well I have spent the day setting tile, almost done with the hearth for the oil stove to sit on...maybe will be done by summer

I will e-mail about the fossil...and all is well here, we are just exhausted a little more than usual

Even as I write, I awaite the shower as I am covered in smears of thin set...like under the fingernails and it is gritty...tile looks good though...

Those of you in the Tonasket area still have fighter jets flying at tree top level on manuvers all summer ?
I have been so angry at them...so ferocious is the noise as the jets dog fight over the tonasket hills that horses are spooked into barbed wire and windows broken...things vibrate right off the shelves and my neighbor got out his big gun and did target practice.
No amount of complaints to the USAF would stop the manuvers...

just wondered if they still tormeted the hill people in Long Valley and probably for hundreds of miles all around.
OK off to cook dinner~~

Tired !!!
Maybe the Thyroxine is not working....

Oh, P.S.
I am planning on getting a meat duck this spring...I was interested in Cayuga but am asking for input from all who raise ducks for the table, and eggs...I do not want a slow growing bird that eats like a horse...a dressed bird of10-12 pounds ?
I am doing reseach so all inputs will be considered.
T-Hi do not read this post !

Had the power flicker on and off for a couple minutes today. . . . Rainy and windy. . . .

Well, I got around to packaging and shipping off two dozen eggs for the New Year's Hatch that is going on.

After that, I came home to the wonderful present of one of my splash Araucanas laying again!! I haven't received any Araucana eggs in months, and now, my splash "Freyja" has given me an egg, so I'm sure to hatch some of hers, fertilized by the pictured guy.

Yes, I hadn't eaten all day so was starved by the time we got to Denny's. Then it took so long for them to even come take our order that by that time my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I ordered way more than I should have! Then over an hour later when they finally brought me the chicken fried steak, it was so bad I couldn't even finish it. And if that ain't bad enough, the stuff kept wanting to remind me all night how bad it was and I didn't have any baking soda water to drink! Ugh!

Hope you made it hope without any snow or trouble. Two years ago I drove about 20mph at top speed just to make it home in that snow storm. That wasn't fun and I sure wouldn't want to attempt going over the Pass in that stuff.

I haven't heard anything about a Spring Monroe show being cancelled. It's a pretty big show so I sort of doubt it but definitely hope it's not.

So, did you happen to take a 47 Pound Rooster named Rex home with ya? If you did, you'll have to let me know what you thought of it. I think it's pretty good.

God Bless,
