My DH and I used to both paintball...had a blast. you are buying for DS? If you are getting single shot (as compared to auto or semi-auto)...Tippman is a very dependable gun. Drag it in the dirt, dirt in the barrel, shake it off and keep shooting. My DH's favorite was a fully auto Tippman A-10. Tippman may be a bit more $$$$$, but they are way more dependable. There are definitely more that are even more $$$$$ but just there are cheaper also, and cheaper is not always better. Make sure to get a full-face mask (safety). aintball guns can take out eyes, teeth, etc.

Remind me later and I will try to upload the photo of my DH after a shot got past his helmet and his face mask and hit him in the forehead. He had a huge lump. We were pretty hard-core ..never say surrender. We used to have a blast.

I Highly recommend the Tipmann 98 ( I think they still make it). It is semi auto and very reliable.
And yes get a GOOD FULL mask for DS. Not trying to scare ya just want you to be aware, yes they can bring welts and trust me across the top of bald head just above the mask well lets just say it is just about enough to make the big alligator tears run down the inside of yer britches.

CR...the DH not only cried, yelled, cussed...it was awful. In the local store there is a photo hanging of DH's head and the lump. The Tipmann 98 is one of the best. Good and dependable. We used to have so much fun. Just us and a bunch of friends ..... out in the woods.....shooting the heck out of one another.

I have been lit up pretty good before.

I'm with ya Rustler. Although it's beautiful, it causes way too many problems.

So I'll gift RFF with my share of any and all snow.

RFF, no thanks are needed.

About 20 years ago we had snow lightning. I had never heard of seen such a thing. And I certainly had never seen it. My son and I were driving North on I5 just past Everett and could see all the way up to where we lived in Arlington, back starting up into the hills. The clouds were lighting up with blues and aquas and amazing oranges!!! Just a phenomenal light show!! It lasted a long time. Hours,,, Till we got home and beyond. Long enough for SonBoy to get out and play in the snow till late late. Got a great layer of snow that time too. Nice and deep. I forgot about that lightning. I have wondered what would cause such a thing.

I thought LaNina was supposed to give us cold and snow and more cold. Not abby normal warm temps and rain.. I was looking forward to more great snow.
Did LaNina have a sex change and become El Nino...?

I like frozen chicken yards better than uck mucky goo...

Bring back the brrrrrr

I should really proof read before I hit "Submit"

LOL....there is always the edit button at the bottom, too.

Hi Heather....how much snow do you have up at your elevation? Here on the flats we are up to 2-3 inches right now. I am finally getting toi sit down....been in Okanogan all day with a wrestlling tournament with boys...I need to go to bed....but I don't want Chickielady yelling at me for not doing my part of keeping the list at the top....so I am trying to help.

They are calling for 5-7 inches of snow for our neck of the woods. CR....I will gladly send you some in a box....just send me your mailing address and I will put some in a ziplock baggie and mail it to you.

We use to have a local play field and I wired it all up with lights controlled from a booth. That way we could play at night and the booth could change lighting during play. Made it very interesting. Now I just use my 98 discourage unwanted critters before I have to resort to lead injections.

We use ours on critters too now. Proved to a neighbor that their dog was in our yard causing problems by using the paintball gun. We have always played out in the forest. It was on the Reservation near a friend's property. More than once we have spooked up quail, grouse, deer, and even a bear or two.....that made for an excitement. My DH was called shaggy. One winter he spent hours and hours and hours making a gilly (sp?) suit. He would crawl through the tall grass and ambush. It was a hoot. Gosh we had fun.

Okay, I just looked outside. The snow level is closer to the 3-4 inch level, not the previously quoted 2-3 inch level. H .. e .. double toothpicks. yuck. tired of snow.

Well CL I have done my best to help keep this at the top of the list. But I have talking with, socializing with, video-ing, and just plain "hangin" with teenage boys all day. We had a great time, but they smell.

We had a big wrestling tournament in Okanogan...my boys did real well...no major owies...just minor ones for mom to freak over. So I am now going to do my best to stumble to bed and fall asleep I am exhausted. I am going to have to shovel a lot tomorrow to get to the chickens and the rabbit. OH, crimey....I just remember....the rabbit had been let out of her cage and out into her run....
gig.gif
... Oh, that means she is running loose in 4 inchs of snow...wonder if she had enough brains to go INSIDE the cage (with all the nice warm hay) instead of on top of it. She will be fine, I will find her in the morning.

Nighty night all.
