I will never share my nasties with any of them. They can plant their own since they are sooooooooo superior in all ways.
I am sorry JB but they will have to get their sprays !!

We have never had a fight incident in my family and fairly certain DH has never had a fight in his either, holidays ofr not...until now.
And what an ugly situation it was.
Dh was not there so does not know all the gory details, but it does look like it is piling serious issues on cousin's marriage.
Too bad, she is a very nice person, I like her alot and she works hard to have the family over and certainly does not deserve this ugly display in her home.
It was her hubby who clocked the neice who stayed a few days with her large and barfy dog, not a good idea to drag a large to dog to the family get together. Enough stresses on the host and hostess without a barft dog eating their expensive furniture...why was this dog in the house anyway ??
Who knows...glad I was here on my hill in my little cabin with my critters.

We can do their sprays with weeds. I am sure that I can come up with something very entertaining. I have a friend that wants half dead weeds in her spray. I agree no nasties for the rest of them. Even I would have trouble with a large barfy dog in the house. It may be more than I could be polite about it. lol

Where di you get the boxes ??
Are they chicken tractor size maybe ??

and YES IMP NEEDS LADyBUGS or will have to grow something else for his sprays, right JB ?

We will find something extra special for the Imp. I really love scabiosa, or Lisianthus.

You have a gorgeous home and garden. I love your bouquet. And another thank for the raspberry plants they are doing very well. I have them planted in large pots for now. I am still negotiating on where to plant them permanently. It takes a bit of warning for DH, before he is willing to dig another patch up for me.

Well we are about half done with painting the kitchen / family room. DH is helping this time. I am so grateful, I know he hates to paint. I have always done the painting, but I am finding that I can't seem to do it any more because of the pain. I just don't have enough drugs to keep going these days. I must admit that I am tired of having to take pain meds just to be able to move.

But on a happier note I will share what has been happening at our house. We have 5 babies, and this little one got tossed out of the nest. Thankfully I have another nest, and the older birds are taking care of little bit.

This was taken today. I have fallen in love with the little bird.

Hello Washatonians! We moved from Iowa to Washington (Bellingham area, near border of BC - home of WWU) - we are in the county about 10 minutes from the City and it took months but finally found the perfect property - about 9 acres, a very neat log home, but a tad on the small size and we are feeling a bit like sardines for now - but the property and ability to have free range chickens, as many as we can handle, some horses, etc., was well worth the cramped house space and the teenagers may move out some day unless they get into chicken ranching! We are gathering our flock looking for some interesting, fun types of chickens and eggs. We now have 4 hens/1 rooster standard buff colored chickens - sort of non descript found from a local person near where we live, and just added two bantams - 1 hen/1 rooster mostly for our daughter to be able to bring in the house and play with - the bigger ones are less appealing for this activity as you all can imagine the reasons why I am sure - 'poo accidents' would be my primary reason for getting the little bantams for our daughter to raise and play with. No, I can't stop her from bringing them in the house - she believes all animals are created equal and why would any one be banned from coming inside for a visit or to sleep with her (I draw the line there).

Still looking for some more chickens (hatching eggs or chicks) which of course is a challenge this time of year but we are excited and ready to go! Oh, and we have two sets of hatching eggs in the incubator. Candled ones we put in 8 days ago and most appear to be half full of something that wasnt there before and heavier (little chickie body? - we hope) some appear to be empty - duds apparently. The latest batch came from someone else close by to us who was kind enough to snatch them after being freshly laid and we prompty drove up to get them, raced home and plopped them in the incubator so I have high hopes for this group which is a mix and will all be surprises. She is working on separating her brood so she can start breeding for specific traits rather than just letting them run willy nilly - it will be fun to see what the eggs turn out to be since she has a mixture of standards/bantams and the only clue we have at this point is in the size of the eggs which are all different. Should be a crazy mix!

Hope to find lots of comments and numbers of chicken lovers from Washington on this site, sharing ideas, etc.
