DW was gone this afternoon so I didn't have to cook. Since I hadn't eaten since last night the hungry's finally got me so I am now enjoying a fried egg sand with the first eggs from the RIR banties. They are AWESOME !!!!!

Regarding the meeting at Third Place Books (Lake Forest Park) this coming Thursday:
I think Kim from Woodinville is planning to be there.
I'll be there and I believe my neighbor is planning to come, too.
Looks like we may have a good sized group!

Happy New Year everyone!

Terrie For our new friend from Hawaii. You may want to tell them how to pronounce that silly county.

BTW having snowplows does not mean needing a bunch of extra trucks. Any of the trucks that an agency has for normal maintnence can be fitted with a plow and with out plows those trucks would be setting idle during snow. So it is not like they have to buy a fleet for snow they just need to add the plows to what they have.

Ok. So to be completely honest. Stay away from Bremerton. Period... Bremerton has its scattered nicer areas, but most of it is kinda plain scary. Silverdale isn't a horible area, thats where most of the shopping is. Bainbridge Island is mostly rediculously overpriced. "This is where I was raised." Poulsbo "where I am now" is a quiet little city. Kingston isn't too bad.

You can find a decent house or a nice apartment for $1000.00. I'll do a quik search and see what I can find, and will also keep my eyes open. Oh and don't forget to look at seabeck, Lofall, hoodcanal area... Poulsbo is a 20 minute drive to Silverdale, Kingston is 30 minutes. There are also smaller communities, like Port Gamble, Suquamish, Gamblewood, Brownsville, Keyport, and tracyton to name a few...

Here is an example for you... This is in Poulsbo. This location is only a 15 minute walk to historic down town waterfront. It is close to the schools, and grocery stores, Fairly nice quiet neighborhood, lots of families with kids, and a small town feel.

Regarding the weather, I think winter predictions have become more accurate, especially with snow levels in elevation (though not depth), but the summer predictions are waaay off. Seems like every camping trip we've gone on West of the Cascades where there was a 15 percent chance of showers, they've failed to mention the 85% chance of Torrential Downpour!
