I REALLY want that house and property!!!
love.gif
I think my little family could be very happy there!

So are the photos of the house you WANT or they are of your house? Is this house along the hiway , heading into Monroe? It looks familiar, but mind you it has been 10 years since I have been on your side of the Mtns.

This is the house that my husband and I both want. Everytime we start to look again we always come back to this particular one. No its not out near monroe, its actually quite close to Chickielady. lol We would practitcally be neighbors if we were to get it. But the listing says the sale is pending.

Chickielady! I did contact another realator, and she says she will look into it for me, and see just whats going on with the place. She said there had been no updated information on that house/property for at least 3 months... So here to hoping.

Teresa this house is a stone's throw from me...and was up for sale apparently unbeknowst to us , for a long time amd was sale pending as of last week.
Cheryl has tried to get a message to the realtor I have never heard of...but no results.
So, we do not know if it is sold, pending, or for sale...
Cheryl has the MLS I think...

I officially love the cull bin at Home Depot! I could have bought everything they had! What I did get was 4 pieces of pressure treated 2x4 in varying lengths, but all of them around 4' and a piece of peg board that's roughly 2'x2.5-3'...I flirted my way into that being a $0.51 item too!

For once I was at the hardware store alone and GLAD I didn't have the SO there, we might have been told it was $2.01, lol. After I get the pallets torn apart, I'll be back looking to "complete" the coop. They had some good size pieces of OSB, but I'm not quite ready to buy those, they were $1.51, I think and I would have needed triple of what they had due to the deformaties in the boards.

I also got a couple of 32" fake tree that are lighted and decorated for $7.49 each! SO was not so pleased with that find, lol. But, I got a pry bar, hammer, and about 16' of treated lumber for under $10 tonight!

We still have sun. We got the gutters and the coop cleaned. I hosed the dog and chicken poop off the deck. Did some primping out in the garden, like raking the mulch the girls keep scratching out of the beds back into the beds. It took me longer than it should have to clean the coop because Mr. Hallerlake, who was cleaning the gutters, kept calling me to fetch and carry for him. It felt good nice to be doing something outside in the sun.

Dont get too comfy in the sun... Its heading your way. Its sunny AND raining here. All my girls are huddled on my porch, looking in the sliding glass door, almost like they expect to be let inside. lol

According to my father's oncologist, it is a unusual for eightysomething, nonsmokers to get this particular cancer. I should have made that clear.

My father has lung cancer. So far he isn't in any pain, but it's just a matter of time. He never smoked though his parents did. Apparently, it's a fluke for an eightysomething non smoker to get lung cancer.

Not always a fluke...as we reach that age alot of systems let go, like the immunal system, and so cancers can take hold.
This is seen most obviously in people with HIV...one of the things they get is called Karpesci's sarcoma (sp?) I cannot remember the spelling, but anyway it appears in people with HIV as deep purple bruise-like growths of skinn cancser as there is no immunal system to fight the disease off.
We are surrounded by cancer, virus and disease, moulds and bacteria 24/7.
Our immunal systems are on task 24/7 fighting all the crud all around and inside of us.
There is also the fact that elderly folks grew up in a much different world.
They did not wear ear and eye protection and exposed themsolves to many horrible chemicals we know know as carcinogenic.
Even in my lifetime we were subjected to chemicals in the workplace and breathing that has caused many many deaths, mesothelioma by ship builders, welder's lung, coal miners, old people lived damgerously !
And at 80, he has lived a good long life !
Oddly enough, I think, not sure, but more cigarette smokers die or get, bladder and kidney cancer first, quite a big %...not all smokers die of lung cancer, the carcinogenic items in cigarette smoke run through the whole body, and attack what they think is the weakest area in the person.
Weaknessess can be genetic also, a lovely gift passed down in families.
So no it is not too strange for an 80 year old non smoker to have lung cancer.

Not to compare your Dad to a pet...but, we lost our calico cat to mammory cancer about a year and a half ago. She was spayed at an early age and had never even thought about having kittens, according to our vet it is a type of cancer that "only effects cats who are unspayed and have had at least one litter". Being in that "lucky" percentile that defies all medical knowledge sucks big time.

So I Hear there are several having roast chicken tonight. Roast SEA CHICKEN that is !!!

We actually had very little rain here today and I dared to go out and try getting a few things done.

good question.. I think you can ask people with fallen trees if they mind? I know we had a tree fall at the top of our driveway, and the neighbors up top cut it up, even though it wasn't on their personal lot... We always get a permit for the woods in the summer....

You have SUN???? Wow, what a difference 35 miles makes. I forgot what the thing looks like. It has been doing nothing but squall here all day. Tried getting out on the main road, but it is flooded with rushing water, so I went the back way, ... some standing water there, but worse are the too-many-to-count giant potholes that have formed over the past week. I had to drive on a fairly high bridge over the South Fork of the Snoqualmie a little east of town, and the river is totally overflowing its banks. The homes on that side are on stilts, but I still would not want to be there!
