After we loosing the father of the 2 little boys next door nearly 4 years ago, I get so mad that the sentence for killing another person by drunk or impaired driving is only like a maximum of 5 years. As far as I am concerned drunk driving should be treated at the least like second degree murder. It is a form of Russian roulette, with everyone's life at risk. I hate having to drive by the site were Shane was killed every time I go to Bonney Lake. It still makes me cry to know how much Shane's family and the community lost, because some meth addict decided that he could drive home that night.
I also think that repeat offenders should never get another chance, and just taking away their drivers license is not enough. I would agree that every car should come with a blow and go, but I have heard a few stories about how drunks just seem to find someone that will enable them by blowing for them.
